The time is dating back more than 1,100 years ago.
On the north side of Yamashiro which overlooks the distant Yamato, an enormous castle called "Heian" (ed: peace) was built.
From them on, people called this area "the capital of Kyo" (ed: Kyo no to = 京都). As the Emperor's special place, it came to be the hometown of the hearts of the Japanese, where they hold respect and a similar sort of reverent feeling.
And now, at last, in this place called 京都, a special Super Dollfie clad with angel's wings is flying down.

Shiratori, Byakuren and Tsubaki were released to commemorate the opening of 天使之里 in 京都. A special pre-opening event was held for members of Volks VIP club only, and the three Tenshi types could be bought at the time.
Unlike other Tenshi types however, these three were not limited to the event only. Any visitor of 天使之里 was welcome to purchase one of these Tenshi at any time.
The initial release of Shiratori came with the first version of the 纯肌 body, which had some issues with standing and rather unattractive knees. However this body was gradually phased out and the newest version, with better stability and nicer looking knees, was brought in. It is called the 'real knees' 纯肌 body to differentiate from the original.
At the 天使之里 3rd Anniversary Fair (3月, 2007) "renewal" versions of Shiratori, Byakuren and Tsubaki were released, with renewed makeup versions, and in 纯肌 抗UV resin. As a result, this version of Shiratori is now no longer available and you can buy the 抗UV version instead.
Shiratori has the same headmold as the original KyoTenshi.
The KyoTenshi body looks basically like the SD10 boy body, except that instead of having any genitals, the area between the legs is completely blank. (Please note this example pic is with the 'new' knees, not the original knees the early Shiratoris came with.)
Unlike most SD10, all KyoTenshi come with unique hands. (extra pic)
